Images from my new series muscle - a series of images of a line of toy figures released in the US during the mid 80s. These tiny figures measure about 5 cm / 2 inches tall. When photographed up close and printed big, they take on qualities that almost bring them to life. The textures that become apparent, along with the marks of wear and tear, lead us to the imperfections of people. Imperfections make us human.
